The present invention relates to a propulsion device for a ship that combines an electric power device and a propulsion device. By combining an electric power unit and a propulsion unit, a diameter of a rotation axis of an existing power unit is enlarged and made into a tubular shape to allow water flow to pass through. In the propulsion device for a ship, provided are a rotor that constitutes a power device on the outer diameter of a pipe and a stator that can run the rotor on the outside. Thus, the present invention is to provide the propulsion device and a ship including the same capable of minimizing energy loss factors, vibration, and noise of existing propulsion devices by utilizing eco-friendly energy, resolving durability issues, and improving steering performance.
