Provided is an on-demand service providing apparatus using an autonomous vehicle and a method thereof. According to the present invention, a service is provided, through the following steps of: initiating a trip by controlling the autonomous vehicle; calculating an expected completion time of the trip according to a predetermined update period; and determining whether the trip can be completed within a target time according to the expected completion time of the trip. Therefore, user's quality of life can be improved.

    자율주행 차량을 제어하여 트립을 시작하는 단계, 미리 결정된 업데이트 주기에 따라 트립의 예상 완료 시간을 계산하는 단계, 그리고 트립의 예상 완료 시간에 따라 트립이 목적 시간 내에 완료될 수 있는지 여부를 판단하는 단계를 통해 서비스를 제공하는 장치 및 방법이 제공된다.
