The present invention relates to a boil-off gas treatment system and a method thereof for an electric propulsion ship capable of treating boil-off gas by combusting the boil-off gas without venting even if the pressure of the boil-off gas is low in an electric propulsion liquefied gas carrier. The boil-off gas treatment method of an electric propulsion ship according to the present invention comprises the steps of: generating electricity from an engine by using boil-off gas of liquefied gas as fuel; and combusting and treating the boil-off gas that cannot be supplied to the engine in a gas combustion unit (GCU), wherein the boil-off gas transported to the GCU is branched into one flow or two or more parallel flows according to pressure, a flow rate of the boil-off gas is measured, and then the flow of the boil-off gas is supplied to the GCU.
본 발명은 전기추진 액화가스 운반선에 있어서, 증발가스의 압력이 미압인 경우에도 증발가스를 벤팅시키지 않고 연소시켜 처리할 수 있는, 전기추진선박의 증발가스 처리 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 전기추진선박의 증발가스 처리 방법은, 액화가스의 증발가스를 연료로 사용하여 엔진에서 전력을 생산하고, 상기 엔진으로 공급할 수 없는 증발가스를 GCU(Gas Combustion Unit)에서 연소시켜 처리하되, 상기 GCU로 이송되는 증발가스는, 압력에 따라서 하나의 흐름 또는 둘 이상의 병렬 흐름으로 분기시켜 유량을 측정한 후 GCU로 공급한다.
