The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire using a magnetorheological (MR) elastomer. More specifically, the present invention relates to a pneumatic tire using an MR elastomer, which is able to generate a magnetic field on an MR elastomer configured on a side surface of an apex rubber, increase the rigidity of the MR elastomer, and improve handling performance. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the pneumatic tire comprises: a ring-shaped pipe unit formed on a tire rim, and forming a hollow part inside, and extended in a circumferential direction; a magnetic field generation unit inserted into the hollow part of the ring-shaped pipe unit, and forming a hollow part inside, and having a coil wound along an outer side surface; a current supply unit applying a current to the coil wound on the magnetic field generation unit; and an MR elastomer attached to one side of the apex, and having the rigidity changed by the magnetic field generated by the magnetic field generation unit.

    본 발명은 자기유변탄성체를 이용한 공기입 타이어에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 에이팩스 고무 측면에 구성된 자기유변탄성체에 자기장을 발생시켜 자기유변탄성체의 강성을 높임으로써 핸들링 성능을 개선할 수 있는 공기입 타이어에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 공기입 타이어는, 타이어 림에 형성되며, 내부에 중공을 형성하며 원주방향을 따라 연장 형성되는 환형배관부와, 상기 환형배관부의 중공에 삽입 설치되며, 내부에 중공을 형성하고 외측면을 따라 코일이 권취되는 자기장발생부와, 상기 자기장발생부에 권취된 코일에 전류를 인가하는 전류공급부와, 에이팩스 일측에 부착 형성되며, 상기 자기장발생부로부터 발생된 자기장에 의해 강성이 변화되는 자기유변탄성부를 포함한다.
