The present invention relates to a hybrid automobile capable of faster battery charging when remote starting is performed, and a charging control method therefor. The charging control method of the hybrid automobile in which an engine clutch is provided between an engine and a driving motor according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise the following steps of: determining a target charging status (SOC) when a charging boost mode request is received from the exterior; determining a charging operating point in consideration of the target charging status; and engaging the engine clutch, driving the engine according to the determined charging operating point, and performing charging, by the motor, according to the determined charging operating point.

    본 발명은 원격 시동 수행시 보다 빠른 배터리 충전이 가능한 하이브리드 자동차 및 그를 위한 충전 제어 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 엔진과 구동 모터 사이에 엔진 클러치가 구비된 하이브리드 자동차의 충전 제어 방법은, 외부로부터 충전 부스트 모드 요청이 수신되면, 목표 충전 상태(SOC)를 판단하는 단계; 상기 목표 충전 상태를 고려하여 충전 운전점을 판단하는 단계; 및 상기 엔진 클러치를 체결하고, 상기 엔진은 상기 판단된 충전 운전점에 따라 구동되며, 상기 모터는 상기 판단된 충전 운전점에 따라 충전을 수행하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
