Embodiments relate to a battery system for performing control operation to balance voltages of battery racks that are located remotely from each other. The battery system comprises: a first battery rack system including various facilities for implementing the battery system, installed in a first space; and at least one second battery rack system including one or more battery racks installed in a second space remotely located as a space separated from the first space.
