According to an embodiment of the present invention, a battery pack, which can be placed in a vehicle including an auxiliary battery, comprises: a main relay configured to be placed on a charging/discharging path of a main battery placed in the battery pack; a pre-charge unit including a pre-charge relay and a pre-charge resistance, which are serially connected to each other, and configured to be parallelly connected to the main relay on the charging/discharging path; and a BMS configured to measure the voltage of the auxiliary battery, determining the voltage status of the auxiliary battery, and controlling the operation status of the main relay into a turn-on status or a turn-off status based on the voltage status of the auxiliary battery, and, when controlling the operation status of the main relay from the turn-off status to the turn-on status, controlling the operation status of the pre-charge relay to perform pre-charge first. The present invention effectively prevents devices in the battery pack from being damaged by fire.

    본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 배터리 팩은 보조 배터리를 포함하는 차량에 구비될 수 있는 배터리 팩으로서, 상기 배터리 팩에 구비된 메인 배터리의 충방전 경로에 위치하도록 구성된 메인 릴레이; 서로 직렬로 연결된 프리차지 릴레이 및 프리차지 저항을 포함하며, 상기 충방전 경로에서 상기 메인 릴레이에 병렬로 연결되도록 구성된 프리차지부; 및 상기 보조 배터리의 전압을 측정하여 상기 보조 배터리의 전압 상태를 판단하고, 상기 보조 배터리의 전압 상태에 기반하여 상기 메인 릴레이의 동작 상태를 턴-온 상태 또는 턴-오프 상태로 제어하며, 상기 메인 릴레이의 동작 상태를 턴-오프 상태에서 턴-온 상태로 제어하는 경우, 상기 프리차지 릴레이의 동작 상태를 제어함으로써 프리차지를 먼저 수행하도록 구성된 BMS를 포함한다.
