Provided are a method for diagnosing a fault of a ship and an apparatus thereof. According to the present invention, the method for diagnosing a fault of the ship comprises: a step of loading metadata collected over time on an independent variable, in which the independent variable corresponds to one or more sensors related to a module of the ship; a step of performing a first modeling with distribution in accordance with the characteristics of the independent variable for the independent variable by using the metadata during the analysis period; a step of performing a second modeling with an extreme value distribution for a disorder diagnosis period longer than the analysis period based on the results of the first modeling; a step of calculating a threshold value from the modeled extreme value distribution; a step of receiving the real-time data of the independent variable; and a step of alarming about the disorder status based on the threshold value. The present invention aims to provide a method for diagnosing a fault of a ship and an apparatus thereof, which are capable of rapidly recognizing a disorder and clearly presenting the cause for the disorder.

    선박의 고장 진단방법 및 장치가 제공된다. 상기 선박의 고장 진단방법은 독립변수에 대한 시간의 흐름에 따라 수집된 메타 데이터를 로딩하되, 상기 독립변수는 선박의 모듈과 관련된 적어도 하나의 센서에 대응되고, 분석기간 동안의 메타 데이터를 이용하여, 상기 독립변수에 대해서 상기 독립변수의 특성에 따른 분포로 1차 모델링을 수행하고, 상기 1차 모델링 결과를 기초로, 상기 분석기간보다 긴 이상진단기간에 대해서 극단값 분포(Extreme Value Distribution)로 2차 모델링을 수행하여, 상기 모델링된 극단값 분포로부터 임계값을 계산하고, 상기 독립변수의 실시간 데이터를 제공받고, 상기 임계값을 기초로 이상 상태를 알람하는 것을 포함한다.
