Disclosed is a drowsy driving detection method and an apparatus thereof. The drowsy driving detection apparatus comprises: a detection unit which detects a facial area from an input image; a mirror neural network unit which analyzes the facial area and outputs facial feature values as PB vectors; and a binary classifier which converts the PB vectors into a spike and classifies any one of a drowsy state and a normal state by a classification module. The drowsy driving detection apparatus is based on the mirror neural network and STDP, and the drowsy driving detection apparatus can accurately recognize drowsy driving from a variety of poses of a driver.
졸음 운전 감지 방법 및 그 장치가 개시된다. 졸음 운전 감지 장치는, 입력 영상에서 얼굴 영역을 검출하는 검출부; 상기 얼굴 영역을 분석한 후 얼굴 특징값을 PB 벡터로서 출력하는 거울 신경망 모델부; 및 상기 PB 벡터를 스파이크(spike)로 변환한 후 분류 모델을 통해 졸음 상태 및 정상 상태 중 어느 하나로 분류하는 이진 분류하는 이진 분류기를 포함한다.
