Disclosed are a method for controlling airbag deployment and an apparatus thereof. The method for controlling the airbag deployment of the present invention comprises the following steps of: determining whether it is a complex collision based on a collision physical quantity due to a vehicle collision; and adjusting a threshold as a criterion for determining whether to deploy an airbag if a determination result is the complex collision. An objective of the present invention is to provide the method for controlling the airbag deployment, for deploying the airbag based on a reduced threshold, and the apparatus thereof.

    에어백 전개 제어 방법 및 장치가 개시된다. 본 발명의 에어백 전개 제어 방법은 차량 충돌로 인한 충돌 물리량을 토대로 복합 충돌인지 여부를 판단하는 단계; 및 상기 판단 결과 상기 복합 충돌이면, 에어백 전개 여부를 판단하기 위한 기준이 되는 임계치를 조정하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
