The present invention relates to a charging control device for an electric vehicle and a method thereof. The charging control device for an electric vehicle includes: a control part controlling an operation of supplying electric power to an electric vehicle to charge a battery of the electric vehicle with the electric power; a pantograph lifting part lifting a pantograph in accordance with the control of the control part to separate the same from a current collector of the electric vehicle or combine the same with the current collector; an electric power supply part supplying electric power to the electric vehicle through the pantograph in accordance with the control of the control part; and an impact detection part detecting whether an impact occurs to the electric vehicle through an impact sensor installed on the pantograph to output an impact occurrence signal to the control part. The control part performs a control operation such that the pantograph lifting part lifts the pantograph down to combine the same with the current collector of the electric vehicle and the electric power supply part supplies the electric power, and, then, in this state, if the impact detection part detects an impact, the control part performs a control operation such that the electric power supply part cuts off the electric power, and then, the pantograph lifting part lifts the pantograph up to separate the same from the current collector. Therefore, the present invention is capable of preventing an accident by cutting off electric power when an impact occurs to an electric vehicle.
본 발명은 전기차량의 배터리에 전력을 충전시키기 위한 전력을 상기 전기차량에 공급하는 것을 제어하는 제어부와, 상기 제어부의 제어에 따라 팬터그래프를 승강시켜 상기 전기차량의 집전장치와 분리 또는 결합시키는 팬터그래프 승강부와, 상기 제어부의 제어에 따라 상기 팬터그래프를 통해 상기 전기차량으로 전력을 공급하는 전력공급부와, 상기 팬터그래프에 설치되는 충격센서로 상기 전기차량에 충격이 발생되는지의 여부를 검출하여 상기 제어부로 충격 발생신호를 출력하는 충격검출부를 포함하고, 상기 제어부는, 상기 팬터그래프 승강부가 상기 팬터그래프를 하강시켜 상기 전기차량의 집전장치와 결합시키고 상기 전력공급부가 전력을 공급하게 제어한 상태에서 상기 충격검출부가 충격을 검출할 경우에 상기 전력공급부가 전력을 차단한 후 상기 팬터그래프 승강부가 상기 팬터그래프를 상승시켜 상기 집전장치와 분리되게 제어하는 전기차량의 충전 제어장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다.
