The present invention relates to a traction motor for an electric vehicle. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the traction motor for the electric vehicle comprises: a motor unit provided with a rotor with a shaft fixed and a stator disposed opposite to the rotor; a deceleration unit provided with a gear member connected to the motor unit to decelerate and output a rotational speed of the shaft; and a circulation unit circulating a cooling fluid for the cooling fluid that cools the deceleration unit to be recovered to the deceleration unit via the motor unit.

    본 발명은 전기자동차용 트랙션 모터에 관한 것이다. 이를 위한 본 발명의 일 측면에 따른 전기자동차용 트랙션 모터는, 샤프트가 고정된 로터와, 상기 로터와 대향 배치되는 스테이터가 구비된 모터부와, 상기 모터부에 연결되어 상기 샤프트의 회전 속도를 감속해서 출력하는 기어 부재가 구비된 감속부, 및 상기 감속부를 냉각시키는 냉각 유체가 상기 모터부를 거쳐 상기 감속부로 회수되도록 냉각 유체를 순환시키는 순환부를 포함한다.
