Provided is an outboard motor for reducing frictional resistance generated on an outer surface by being exposed to air or water during high-speed running of a ship. According to the present invention, the outboard motor may comprise: an outboard motor cover detachably coupled to the hull, including a frictional resistance reducing part for forming an accommodation space inside and forming a pattern on the outer surface; an engine disposed in the accommodation space to provide power; a shaft disposed in the accommodation space, connected to the engine and receiving power from the engine unit; and a propeller which is connected to one end of the shaft and receives engine power from the shaft to generate propulsion of the hull.

    선박의 고속주행 중 공기 또는 수중으로 노출되어 외표면에서 발생하는 마찰저항을 감소시키기 위한 선외기가 제공된다. 선외기는, 내부에 수용공간을 형성하고, 외표면에 패턴문양을 형성하는 마찰저항 감소부를 포함하여 선체에 분리 가능하게 결합되는 선외기 커버와, 수용공간에 배치되어 동력을 제공하는 엔진과, 수용공간에 배치되어 엔진에 연결되며 엔진부로부터 동력을 전달받는 샤프트와, 샤프트의 일단부에 연결되고 샤프트로부터 엔진의 동력을 전달받아 선체의 추진력을 발생시키는 프로펠러를 포함할 수 있다.
