The present invention proposes a radar system for a vehicle using a flex-ray as a communication channel between rear and side radar sensors and a method of operating the same. The proposed vehicle radar system includes: a first radar sensor for detecting one side of a vehicle; and a second radar sensor that detects the other side of the vehicle and is connected to the first radar sensor through a high-speed data transmission channel. According to the present invention, it is possible to transmit a large amount of data between the rear and side sensors, and to facilitate the analysis of a radar signal.

    본 발명에서는 후측방 레이더 센서들 간의 통신 채널을 플렉스레이로 하는 차량용 레이더 시스템 및 그 작동 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 차량용 레이더 시스템은 차량의 일측방을 탐지하는 제1 레이더 센서; 및 차량의 타측방을 탐지하며, 제1 레이더 센서와 고속 데이터 전송 채널로 연결되는 제2 레이더 센서를 포함한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 후측방 센서들 간에 대용량 데이터 전송이 가능해지며, 레이더 신호 분석을 용이하게 할 수 있다.
