Disclosed is an electromechanical brake system that can have an arrangement and a structure that can achieve compactness. According to an aspect of the present invention, an electromechanical brake system comprises: a carrier in which a pair of pad plates are installed to press a disk (D) rotating together with a wheel of a vehicle; a caliper housing which is slidably installed on the carrier to operate the pair of pad plates; a piston installed in the caliper housing to move forward and backward; an actuator including a motor that provides a rotational force for moving the piston; a screw assembly which receives the rotational force transmitted from the actuator and converts the rotational force into linear motion to enable the axial movement of the piston; a housing for housing the actuator; and an ECU which controls the operation of the electromechanical brake system.

    본 발명의 전기기계식 브레이크시스템을 개시한다. 본 발명의 일 측면에 따르면 차량의 휠과 함께 회전하는 디스크(D)를 가압하도록 한 쌍의 패드 플레이트가 설치된 캐리어와, 캐리어에 슬라이딩 가능하게 설치되어 한 쌍의 패드 플레이트를 작동시키는 캘리퍼 하우징과, 캘리퍼 하우징 내부에 진퇴 가능하게 설치되는 피스톤과, 피스톤을 이동시키기 위한 회전력을 제공하는 모터를 포함한 엑츄에이터와, 엑츄에이터에서 전달되는 회전력을 전달받아 선형운동으로 변환하여 피스톤의 축방향 이동을 가능하게 하는 스크류조립체와, 엑츄에이터을 수용하는 하우징 및 전기기계식 브레이크 시스템의 동작을 제어하는 ECU를 포함한다.
