The present invention relates to technology for controlling steering while avoiding interference with a snow chain through cooperative control with AFS and RWS when the snow chain is mounted. According to the present invention, disclosed are a steering control method for a vehicle and a system therefor, wherein it is determined whether or not the snow chain is mounted by comparing the number of vibrations above a certain peak detected through each wheel speed sensor with respect to a current vehicle speed with a set value, and the operation of the AFS and RWS is selectively controlled according to the position of a wheel on which the snow chain is mounted when it is determined that the snow chain is mounted.
본 발명은 스노우체인 장착시, AFS 및 RWS와의 협조제어를 통해 스노우체인과 간섭을 회피하면서 조향 제어하는 기술에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에서는, 현재 차속에 대해 각 휠속도센서를 통해 검출되는 일정 피크 이상의 진동횟수와 설정된 값을 비교하여 스노우체인의 장착 여부를 판단하고, 스노우체인이 장착된 것으로 판단시, 스노우체인이 장착된 휠의 위치에 따라 AFS 및 RWS의 작동을 선택적으로 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 차량용 조향 제어방법 및 시스템이 소개된다.
