An electronic brake system according to a disclosed aspect includes: a driving unit for applying a phase current that drives a motor; a current detection unit for detecting the phase current; and a control unit for generating a d-axis current command of a predetermined pattern and calculating phase voltage based on the d-axis current command. The control unit calculates phase resistance based on the phase voltage and the phase current, and calculates the temperature of a coil included in the motor based on the phase resistance.
