According to one embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for buffering and centering railway vehicles is arranged between first and second railway vehicles to define a separation distance between the first and second railway vehicles, damps impact of the railway vehicles caused by a change in the separation distance, and easily connects the railway vehicles to each other. The apparatus for buffering and centering railway vehicles includes: a front end connecting part forming a receiving space while connected to a front end of the second railway vehicle; a rotating part connected to the front end connecting part to be rotatable and connected to a back end of the first railway vehicle; an impact damping part formed between the front end connecting part and the rotating part, compressively and elastically deformed when a separation distance of the rotating part and the front end connecting part is decreased, and damping the impact caused by contact between the rotating part and the front end connecting part; and a centering part formed on a rotating shaft in which rotation of the rotating part is implemented with respect to the front end connecting part, distortedly and elastically deformed to damp the impact caused by the contact between the rotating part and the front end connecting part in case of the rotation of the rotating part with respect to the front end connecting part, and allowing centering of the rotating part to be maintained with respect to the front end connecting part.

    본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 철도차량 완충 및 센터링 장치는, 제1 철도차량과 제2 철도차량 사이에 배치되어 상기 제1 철도차량과 상기 제2 철도차량 사이의 이격 거리를 규정하며, 상기 이격 거리의 변화에 따른 철도차량의 충격을 감쇄하고, 철도차량 간의 연결을 용이하게 하기 위한 철도차량 완충 및 센터링 장치에 있어서, 상기 제2 철도차량의 선단에 연결된 채, 수용공간을 형성하는 선단연결부, 상기 선단연결부에 회동 가능하도록 연결되며, 상기 제1 철도차량의 후단에 연결되는 회동부, 상기 선단연결부와 상기 회동부 사이에 형성되어, 상기 회동부와 상기 선단연결부의 이격 거리가 감소하는 경우 압축 탄성 변형되어, 상기 회동부와 상기 선단연결부의 접촉에 따른 충격을 감쇄하는 충격감쇄부 및 상기 회동부의 상기 선단연결부에 대한 회동이 구현되는 회동축에 형성되며, 상기 회동부의 상기 선단연결부에 대한 회동 시, 뒤틀림 탄성 변형되어 상기 회동부와 상기 선단연결부의 접촉에 따른 충격을 감쇄하고, 상기 회동부의 상기 선단연결부에 대한 센터링이 유지되도록 하는 센터링부를 포함할 수 있다.
