Embodiments relate to a power supply system for a ship, which includes: a power generator which can be driven by a variable RPM; a first switchboard transmitting power of the power generator to a load in the ship including a propulsion motor; and a control part controlling a drive of the variable RPM power generator in accordance with a sailing mode of the ship. According to the embodiments, the power supply system for a ship is configured to decrease a power generation capacity in response to a case in which a load capacity required in the ship is reduced, and to allow a rectifier to be formed in a relatively cheap alternating current (AC) system without being installed on an output terminal of the power generator, thereby having a cheap system construction cost compared to a direct current (DC) grid system.

    실시예들은 가변 RPM으로 운전 가능한 발전기; 상기 발전기의 전력을 추진 모터(propulsion motor)를 포함한 선내 부하로 전달하는 제1 배전반; 및 선박의 운항 모드에 따라 상기 가변 RPM 발전기의 운전을 제어하는 제어부를 포함하는 선박용 전력 공급 시스템과 관련된다. 실시예들에 따르면 선내 요구 부하 용량이 줄어드는 경우 이에 대응하여 발전 용량을 감소시킬 수 있도록 구성되며, 정류기가 발전기 출력단에 설치되지 않고 상대적으로 저렴한 교류(AC) 계통으로 구성되어, 직류(DC) 그리드 시스템과 비교하여 시스템 구축 비용이 저렴하다.
