The present invention relates to a method for starting an engine in a hybrid vehicle, which allows a user to try to start an engine in various ways before reaching a minimum SOC limit of a high-voltage battery even when a state in which an engine start is impossible due to a temporary failure (recoverable state) of unknown cause occurs at a moment when the engine start is required during driving of a hybrid vehicle, thereby increasing the possibility of the engine start, and securing an easy engine start and driving stability.

    본 발명은 하이브리드 차량의 주행 중 엔진 기동이 필요한 순간, 원인을 알 수 없는 임시적인 고장(회복 가능한 상태)에 의하여 엔진 기동이 불가능한 상태가 발생하더라도, 고전압 배터리의 최소 SOC 한계에 도달하기 전에 여러 가지 방법으로 엔진 기동을 시도할 수 있도록 함으로써, 엔진 기동 가능성을 높일 수 있고, 엔진 기동 강건화 및 주행 안정성 확보할 수 있는 하이브리드 차량의 엔진 기동 방법을 제공하고자 한 것이다.
