Disclosed are a system and a method for supplementally charging an auxiliary battery of an eco-friendly vehicle, which are capable of supplementally charging the auxiliary battery to ensure a minimum cumulative charge current amount required for operating the eco-friendly vehicle in consideration of an endurable state of the auxiliary battery of the eco-friendly vehicle due to aging. The system for supplementally charging the auxiliary battery of the eco-friendly vehicle includes: a main battery; the auxiliary battery having a voltage lower than a voltage of the main battery; a low-voltage DC-DC converter configured to step down the voltage of the main battery to provide the stepped-down voltage to the auxiliary battery; and a controller configured to select, when a periodic charge time of the auxiliary battery arrives, one of a constant-voltage charging scheme and a constant-current charging scheme as a charging scheme based on an aging state of the auxiliary battery, control the low-voltage DC-DC converter to charge the auxiliary battery with a constant voltage for a preset reference time when the constant-voltage charging scheme is selected, control the low-voltage DC-DC converter to charge the auxiliary battery with a constant current for a preset reference time when the constant-current charging scheme is selected, and terminate the charging when a cumulative charge current amount provided to the auxiliary battery is greater than or equal to a preset reference cumulative charge current amount.

    메인 배터리; 상기 메인 배터리보다 낮은 전압을 갖는 보조 배터리; 상기 메인 배터리의 전압을 강압시켜 상기 보조 배터리에 제공하는 저전압 직류 변환기; 및 상기 보조 배터리의 주기 충전 시점이 도래하면, 상기 보조 배터리의 노화 상태에 기반하여 정전압 충전 방식 및 정전류 충전 방식 중 하나를 충전 방식으로 선택하고, 정전압 충전 방식이 선택된 경우 사전 설정된 기준 시간 동안 상기 저전압 직류 변환기를 정전압 제어하여 상기 보조 배터리를 충전하고, 정전류 충전 방식이 선택된 경우 상기 저전압 직류 변환기를 정전류 제어하여 상기 보조 배터리를 충전하되 상기 보조 배터리로 제공된 누적 충전 전류량이 사전 설정된 기준 누적 충전 전류량 보다 크거나 같은 경우 충전을 종료하는 컨트롤러를 포함하는 친환경 차량의 보조 배터리 보충전 시스템이 개시된다.
