Disclosed is a forward collision-avoidance assist (FCA) performance test system and a method thereof which quantitatively test an operating state of FCA. According to embodiments of the present invention, the forward collision-avoidance assist performance test system tests an FCA function of a vehicle while driving, and comprises: an OBD connected to the vehicle via CAN communication to receive driving information in accordance with running; and a test terminal which is loaded in the vehicle to be connected to the OBD via short-range wireless communication, measures vehicle position information on a road map using precision GPS during a driving test, determines whether FCA operates at the time when the vehicle passes through a normal braking gate (G1) separated from a front obstacle set on the road map by a prescribed distance, and applies forcible brake control information via the OBD to stop the vehicle if the vehicle passes through a forcible braking gate (G2) while FCA does not operate.

    전방 충돌 방지 보조 성능 검사 시스템 및 그 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른, 주행 중 차량의 FCA(Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, FCA) 기능을 검사하는 전방 충돌 방지 보조 성능 검사 시스템은, 상기 차량과 CAN 통신으로 연결되어 운행에 따른 운전정보를 수신하는 OBD 및 상기 차량에 탑재되어 상기 OBD와 근거리 무선통신으로 연결되고, 주행시험 중 정밀 GPS를 활용한 도로맵 상의 차량 위치정보를 측정하며, 상기 차량이 상기 도로맵에 설정된 전방의 장애물로부터 일정 거리 떨어진 정상 제동 게이트(G1)를 통과하는 시점에서의 FCA 작동 여부를 판정하되, 상기 차량이 FCA 미작동된 상태로 강제 제동 게이트(G2)를 통과하면 상기 OBD를 통해 강제 브레이크 제어 정보를 인가하여 상기 차량을 정지시키는 검사 단말기를 포함한다.
