According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is a device for preventing overcharging which comprises: a micro controller unit (MCU) controlling charging and discharging of a battery; a sensing unit sensing the battery and obtaining sensing information; a transceiver transmitting the sensing information to the MCU; and a switch blocking voltage supplied to the battery in accordance with a signal of the transceiver. The MCU, the transceiver, and the sensing unit can receive power from an external power source unit. According to the present invention, overcharging of the battery can be sensed regardless of operation of the MCU so as to reinforce safety specifications.

    본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 과충전 방지 장치는 배터리의 충, 방전을 제어하는 MCU(Micro Controller Unit), 상기 배터리를 센싱하여 센싱 정보를 획득하는 센싱부, 상기 센싱 정보를 상기 MCU로 송신하는 트랜시버 및 상기 트랜시버의 신호에 따라 상기 배터리에 공급되는 전압을 차단시키는 스위치를 포함하고, 상기 MCU, 트랜시버 및 센싱부는 외부 전원부로부터 전원을 공급받을 수 있다. 본 발명에 따르면, MCU의 동작 여부에 상관없이 배터리의 과충전 여부를 감지하므로, 안전 사양이 강화될 수 있다는 효과가 있다.
