According to the present invention, a yoke clearance noise reduction method applied to a steering system (1) is performed by reverse steering noise reduction control to adjust basic assistance by increasing assistance repeated until normal steering is checked through assistance reduction and steering torque repeated until steering completion is checked through a steering angle when reverse steering is determined. Therefore, time at which a rack and a pinion collide with each other under a yoke clearance condition of a rack bar support device (7) absorbing a shock with respect to the rack and the pinion is lengthened to reduce noise, and in particular, at the time passing a noise occurrence period, a basic assistance reduction amount is additionally compensated to reduce a loss of vehicle responsiveness.

    본 발명의 조향시스템(1)에 적용된 요크유격 소음저감방법은 반전조타 판단시 조타각을 통한 조타완료 확인시까지 반복되는 어시스트 감소와 조타토크를 통한 정상 조타 확인시까지 반복되는 어시스트 증대로 기본 어시스트를 조정하는 반전 조타 소음저감제어로 수행됨으로써 랙과 피니언에 대한 충격을 흡수하는 랙바 지지장치(7)의 요크유격조건에서 랙과 피니언 간 부딪히는 시간을 길게 하여 소음을 줄여주고, 특히 소음 발생 시기를 지난 시점에서 기본 어시스트 감소분을 추가로 보상함으로써 차량 응답성 손실도 줄여주는 특징이 구현된다.
