A vehicle side portion structure (10) includes a roof side rail (80) that includes a rail reinforcement (82) that is an outer portion of the roof sire rail (80) in the width direction of a vehicle, the roof side rail (80) having a closed cross-section structure, a first upper contact surface (82C1) which is formed on the rail reinforcement (82) and with which a weather strip (42) provided on an outer peripheral portion of a front side door (32) comes into contact, a flange (82A) which is formed at the rail reinforcement (82) and to which a roof panel (132) is joined, and a rail garnish (16) that covers a portion of the roof side rail (80) from the flange (82A) to an upper portion of the first upper contact surface (82C1) in an up-down direction of the vehicle.

    차량 측부 구조(10)는, 차폭 방향 외측의 레일 리인포스먼트(82)를 구비하는 루프 사이드 레일(80) ― 상기 루프 사이드 레일(80)은 폐단면 구조를 가짐 ―과, 레일 리인포스먼트(82)에 형성되며, 프론트 사이드 도어(32)의 외주부에 마련된 웨더 스트립(42)이 맞닿는 제 1 상부 접촉면(82C1)과, 레일 리인포스먼트(82)에 형성되며, 루프 패널(132)이 접합되는 플랜지(82A)와, 루프 사이드 레일(80)에 있어서 플랜지(82A)로부터 제 1 상부 접촉면(82C1)의 차량 상방측까지를 덮는 레일 가니쉬(16)를 구비하고 있다.
