The present invention provides a high explosive firing mechanism. The high explosive firing mechanism can comprise a housing including a firing pin tube provided with a primer inlet. The high explosive firing mechanism additionally can comprise a firing pin arranged in the firing pin tube, and the firing pin comprises a nub. Moreover, the nub can be partially extended to the primer inlet.
