After a minimum braking distance of a following vehicle is calculated on the basis of a speed of a reference vehicle and a speed of the following vehicle, a distance between the reference vehicle and the following vehicle is within the minimum braking distance to predict whether the following vehicle collides with the reference vehicle. When the following vehicle is predicted to collide with the reference vehicle, it is determined whether or not the magnitude of a collision is greater than or equal to a threshold value, and when the magnitude of the collision is greater than or equal to the threshold value, notification to prevent a rear-end collision can be provided on the basis of a road condition around the reference vehicle.

    기준차량의 속도 및 후행차량의 속도에 기초하여, 후행차량의 최소 제동거리를 산출한 후, 기준차량과 후행차량 간의 거리가 최소 제동거리 이내가 되어 후행차량이 기준차량을 추돌할지 여부를 예측한다. 후행차량이 기준차량을 추돌할 것으로 예측되는 경우, 추돌의 규모가 임계값 이상인지 여부를 결정한 후, 추돌의 규모가 임계값 이상인 경우, 기준차량 주변의 도로상황에 기초하여 후방 추돌 사고를 방지하도록 알림을 제공하는 방법이 개시된다.
