According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for determining a vehicle overturn situation comprises the following steps of: calculating a transverse speed change amount; calculating a friction coefficient based on transverse acceleration information; calculating a predicted time based on a friction coefficient value; calculating an estimated reduction transverse speed based on the transverse speed change amount and the predicted time; calculating an estimated increase roll rate change amount based on the estimated reduction transverse speed; determining an overturn preliminary flag to determine deployment without wrong deployment; calculating an overturn reference roll rate based on a reference roll rate and the estimated increase roll rate change amount; and determining a roll overturn of a vehicle based on the overturn reference roll rate.

    본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 차량 전복 감지 방법은 횡속도 변화량을 산출하는 단계, 횡방향 가속도 정보에 기초하여 마찰계수를 산출하는 단계, 상기 마찰계수 산출치에 기초하여 예측시간을 산출하는 단계, 상기 횡속도 변화량과 상기 예측시간에 기초하여 예상 감소 횡속도를 산출하는 단계, 상기 예상 감소 횡속도에 기초하여 예상 증가 롤레이트 변화량을 산출하는 단계, 오전개 없이 이른 전개를 판단하기 위한 전복 예비 플래그를 판단하는 단계, 기준 롤레이트와 상기 예상 증가 롤레이트 변화량에 기초하여 전복 기준 롤레이트 산출하는 단계 및 상기 전복 기준 롤레이트에 기초하여 차량의 롤 전복을 판단하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
