According to an embodiment, a belt control apparatus to control tension of a belt of a mild hybrid electric vehicle comprises an engine and a mild hybrid starter and generator (MHSG) electrically connected to a battery to assist output of the engine by being connected to the engine through the belt. The belt control apparatus comprises: a tensioner driven to increase or decrease tension of a belt; and a control unit controlling the tensioner for the tension of the belt to be increased when time at which an engine is in a stalling state is greater than critical time.

    일 실시예에 따른 벨트 제어 장치는 엔진 및 엔진에 벨트를 통해 연결되어 엔진의 출력을 보조하는, 배터리에 전기적으로 연결되는 마일드 하이브리드 시동 발전기(MHSG: Mild Hybrid Starter and Generator)를 포함하는 마일드 하이브리드 차량의 벨트의 장력을 제어하기 위한 벨트 제어 장치로서, 벨트의 장력을 증가시키거나 또는 감소시키도록 구동하는 텐셔너, 그리고 엔진이 스톨(stall) 상태에 있는 시간이 임계 시간보다 더 크면, 벨트의 장력이 증가하도록 텐셔너를 제어하는 제어부를 포함한다.
