An objective of the present invention is to provide a light-weight headliner for a vehicle, which enables the same rigidity as an existing headliner to be secured while improving vehicle fuel efficiency by replacing an existing glass fiber layer with a prepreg, thereby reducing the entire weight of the headliner. Particularly, the other objective of the present invention is to provide a light-weight headliner for a vehicle, which enables rigidity required in the headliner to be sufficiently obtained while minimizing an increased in the total weight of the headliner by attaching the prepreg to both edge portions of a headliner base material only. The light-weight headliner for the vehicle of the present invention includes: two surface layers (30) which is formed by sequentially stacking a nonwoven fabric (31), a hot melt film (32), an HDPE (high density polyethylene) powder layer (33), and a glass mat layer (34); and a polyurethane sheet (10) having a glue (11) coated on both surfaces thereof and prepreg (20) mounted on one surface of the polyurethane sheet (10), wherein the polyurethane sheet (10) and the prepreg (20) are sequentially stacked between the two surface layers (30).
본 발명은 기존 유리섬유 층을 프리프레그로 대처함으로써, 헤드라이너의 전체 중량을 줄여 자동차 연비를 개선하면서도 기존 헤드라이너와 동등한 강성을 확보할 수 있게 한 자동차용 경량 헤드라이너를 제공하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 특히, 본 발명은 프리프레그를 헤드라이너 기재의 양쪽 가장자리 부분에만 부착함으로써, 헤드라이너의 전체 중량이 늘어나는 것을 최소화하면서도 헤드라이너에서 요구하는 강성을 충분히 얻을 수 있게 한 자동차용 경량 헤드라이너를 제공하는 데 다른 목적이 있다.
