The present invention relates to a vehicle system and a method for heating an exhaust filter using the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the vehicle system includes: an engine including a combustion chamber, an intake manifold, an injector, and an exhaust manifold; a hybrid starter and generator (HSG) starting the engine or generating electricity by using energy generated by the engine; an exhaust filter installed in an exhaust pipe and collecting a particulate matter (soot) included in exhaust gas; and a controller controlling the operation of the injector and controlling the operation of the HSG. The engine includes: the combustion chamber generating the energy by combusting mixed gas in which air and a fuel are mixed; the intake manifold supplying the air to the combustion chamber; the injector for supplying the fuel to the combustion chamber; and the exhaust manifold for discharging the exhaust gas generated by the combustion of the mixed gas to the exhaust pipe. When the amount of the soot exceeds a predetermined amount, the controller can increase the load of the HSG as much as a predetermined load until the temperature of the exhaust filter reaches a predetermined temperature.

    본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 차량 시스템은 공기와 연료가 혼합된 혼합기를 연소시켜 에너지를 발생시키도록 된 연소실, 상기 연소실에 공기를 공급하도록 된 흡기 매니폴드, 상기 연소실에 연료를 공급하도록 된 인젝터, 그리고 혼합기의 연소에 의하여 발생한 배기 가스를 배기 파이프로 배출하도록 된 배기 매니폴드를 포함하는 엔진; 상기 엔진을 시동시키거나 상기 엔진에서 발생한 에너지를 이용하여 전기를 발생시키도록 된 하이브리드 시동기/발전기(Hybrid Starter and Generator; HSG); 상기 배기 파이프에 장착되어 있으며, 배기 가스에 포함된 입자상 물질(수트)을 포집하는 매연 필터; 그리고 상기 인젝터의 작동을 제어하고 상기 HSG의 작동을 제어하는 제어기;를 포함하며, 수트량이 설정량보다 많으면, 상기 제어기는 매연 필터의 온도가 설정된 온도에 도달할 때까지 HSG의 하중(load)의 크기를 설정 하중량만큼 증가시킬 수 있다.
