The present invention relates to a system for recognizing circumstances of a vehicle and a method thereof, wherein the system comprises: a first vehicle transmitting broadcast information to a surrounding vehicle when dangerous circumstances or congestion circumstances occur, wherein the broadcast information has position information of the first vehicle and surrounding image information of the first vehicle; and a second vehicle outputting the surrounding image information of the first vehicle, which is transmitted from the first vehicle when determining that the first vehicle is a preceding vehicle or a following vehicle based on the position information of the first vehicle, which is transmitted from the first vehicle.

    본 발명은 차량의 주변 상황 인지 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 위험 상황 또는 정체 상황 발생 시, 브로드캐스트(Broadcast) 정보를 주변 차량으로 전송하는 제1 차량으로서, 브로드캐스트 정보는 제1 차량의 위치 정보 및 제1 차량의 주변 영상 정보를 포함하는, 제1 차량, 및 제1 차량으로부터 전송받은 제1 차량의 위치 정보에 기초하여 제1 차량이 선행 차량 또는 후속 차량으로 판단된 경우, 제1 차량으로부터 전송받은 제1 차량의 주변 영상 정보를 출력하는 제2 차량을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
