Disclosed is an OLED, in which a light emitting layer has a first host and an emitter, wherein the emitter is a phosphorescent metal complex or a delayed fluorescence emitter; E_H1T, that is a T1 triple energy of the first host, is higher than E_ET, that is the T1 triple energy of the emitter, and the E_ET is at least 2.50 eV; a LUMO energy of the first host is higher than a HOMO energy of the emitter; an absolute value of a difference between the HOMO energy of the emitter and the LUMO energy of the first host is ΔE1; a <= ΔE1 - E_ET<= b; a >= 0.05 eV; and b <= 0.60 eV.

    발광층이 제1 호스트 및 이미터를 갖는 OLED로서, 이미터는 인광성 금속 착물 또는 지연 형광 이미터이고, E, 즉 제1 호스트의 T1 삼중항 에너지는 E, 즉 이미터의 T삼중항 에너지보다 높고, E는 적어도 2.50 eV이고, 제1 호스트의 LUMO 에너지는 이미터의 HOMO 에너지보다 높고, 이미터의 HOMO 에너지와 제1 호스트의 LUMO 에너지 간 차이의 절대값은 ΔE1이고, a ≤ ΔE1 - E≤ b이고; a ≥ 0.05 eV이고, b ≤ 0.60 eV인 OLED가 개시된다.
