Provided are a device and a method for controlling a converter of a hybrid vehicle. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the device for controlling a converter of a hybrid vehicle comprises a monitoring unit, a comparing unit, a determining unit, and a control value adjusting unit. The monitoring unit monitors a state of charge (SoC) of a low voltage battery, an SoC of a high voltage battery, and a load value (LD) of an electric field load. The comparing unit compares the SoC of the low voltage battery with a first charging threshold value (Th1), compares the SoC of the high voltage battery with a second charging threshold value (Th3) and compares the LD of the electric field load with a load threshold value (Th2). The determining unit determines whether or not an output control value of the converter is adjusted according to a comparing result. The control value adjusting unit decreases the output control value of the converter more than normal control to increase a power supply amount to the electric field load of the low voltage battery; and increases the output control value of the converter more than the normal control to increase the power supply amount through the converter. The present invention can improve energy efficiency.

    하이브리드 차량의 컨버터 제어 장치 및 그 방법이 제공된다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 하이브리드 차량의 컨버터 제어 장치는 저전압 배터리 및 고전압 배터리의 충전 상태(SoC; State Of Charge) 및 전장부하의 부하값(LD)을 모니터링하는 모니터링부; 저전압 배터리의 충전 상태(SoC)와 제1충전 임계값(Th1), 고전압 배터리의 충전 상태(SoC)와 제2충전 임계값(Th3), 및 전장부하의 부하값(LD)과 부하 임계값(Th2)을 비교하는 비교부; 비교 결과에 따라 컨버터의 출력제어값을 조정할지의 여부를 판단하는 판단부; 및 판단 결과에 따라 저전압 배터리의 전장부하로의 전력 공급량이 증가하도록 컨버터의 출력제어값을 정상 제어시보다 감소시키거나, 컨버터를 통한 전력 공급량이 증가하도록 컨버터의 출력제어값을 정상 제어시보다 증가시키는 제어값 조정부;를 포함한다.
