The present invention relates to an engine room cover material containing a low melting polyester resin fiber layer, and a production method thereof. More specifically, provided is an engine room cover material which ensures competitive price and excellent processability without deterioration in physical properties such as strength and durability. To this end, the engine room cover material includes a fiber layer which contains: a first polyester resin fiber with a melting point of 180-250 deg. C or a softening point of 100-150 deg. C; and a second polyester resin fiber whose melting point is higher than 250 deg. C.
