The present invention relates to an adaptive cruise control device comprising: a receiving unit receiving information on distance between a vehicle and a preceding vehicle, and receiving rotational speed information from a sensor sensing the rotational speed of an engine included in the vehicle; a fuel supply control unit increasing the amount of fuel supplied to the engine when the distance information exceeds preset first distance information or the rotational speed information is less than or equal to preset second rotational speed information, and reducing the amount of fuel supplied to the engine when the distance information is less than or equal to the first distance information and the rotational speed information exceeds preset first rotational speed information; and a load connection control unit unlocking a torque converter included in the vehicle, generating a slip in a torque converter or releasing gear engagement of a transmission included in the vehicle, when the amount of fuel supplied to the engine is reduced. According to the present invention, it is possible to improve the fuel efficiency of a vehicle.
본 발명은 자차량과 선행차량 간 거리정보를 수신하고, 자차량에 포함된 엔진의 회전속도를 감지한 센서로부터 회전속도정보를 수신하는 수신부와; 거리정보가 미리 설정된 제1거리정보를 초과하거나 회전속도정보가 미리 설정된 제2회전속도정보 이하이면 엔진에 공급되는 연료량을 증가하고, 거리정보가 제1거리정보 이하이며 회전속도정보가 미리 설정된 제1회전속도정보를 초과하면 엔진에 공급되는 연료량을 감소하는 연료공급 제어부; 및 엔진에 공급되는 연료량이 감소되면 자차량에 포함된 토크 컨버터(Torque Converter)를 언록(Unlock)하거나, 토크 컨버터에 슬립(Slip)이 발생하도록 하거나 또는 자차량에 포함된 변속기(Transmission)의 기어체결을 해지하는 부하연결 제어부를 포함하는 적응형 순항제어장치에 관한 것이다.
