The present invention relates to an EPDM rubber composition for a weather stripping sponge and, more specifically, to an EPDM rubber composition containing free sulfur and 1,6-bis (N,N-dibenzylthiocarbamoyldithio)-hexane (BDBzTH) to EPDM rubber in which Mooney viscosity (ML1+8at 125C) is 90 or more and the content of 5-ethylidene-2-norbornene (ENB) is 9 wt% or more. The EPDM rubber composition of the present invention has effects of improving compression set and solving a chronic discoloration problem of EPDM rubber, thereby being useful as a material of a weather stripping sponge part of vehicles.
본 발명은 웨더스트립 스폰지용 EPDM 고무 조성물에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 무늬점도 (MLat 125℃) 값이 90 이상이고, 5-에틸리덴-2-노보넨 (ENB)함량이 9 중량% 이상인 EPDM 고무에, 유리 황(free sulfur)과 1,6-비스(N,N-디벤질티오카르바모일디티오)-헥산 (BDBzTH)가 포함되어 있는 EPDM 고무 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 EPDM 고무 조성물은 압축 영구변형율 (Compression set)의 개선효과 및 EPDM 고무의 고질적인 변색 문제를 해소하는 효과를 가지므로, 자동차의 웨더스트립 스폰지 부분의 소재로 유용하다.
