The present invention relates to an automatic parking assist system and an operation method thereof, wherein the automatic parking assist system comprises: a parking space search unit acquiring parking space search information by searching surroundings of a vehicle; a vehicle sensor sensing movement information of the vehicle; and a control unit determining a parking speed of the vehicle in consideration of the parking space search information and the movement information, and performing vehicle parking in a parking space with the parking speed.

    본 발명은 전자동 주차 시스템 및 그 동작 방법에 관한 것으로, 차량의 주변을 탐색하여 주차공간 탐색정보를 획득하는 주차공간 탐색부, 상기 차량의 거동정보를 센싱하는 차량센서, 및 상기 주차공간 탐색정보 및 상기 거동정보를 고려하여 상기 차량의 주차속도를 결정하고 상기 주차속도로 주차공간에 차량 주차를 수행하는 제어부를 포함한다.
