The present invention relates to a battery cooling apparatus for a vehicle able to stably perform battery cooling for a predetermined period of time even when the vehicle is stopped, thereby increasing the durability lifespan of the battery and enhancing the charging efficiency thereof. According to the present invention, the battery cooling apparatus for a vehicle includes: a refrigeration cycle in which an evaporator, a condenser, and a compressor are installed on a circulation path through which a working fluid circulates; and a battery cooling unit configured to store at least a part of cold air generated in the evaporator of the refrigeration cycle and cool the battery by the stored cold air.
본 발명은 차량의 시동 정지 시에도 일정시간 동안 배터리의 쿨링을 안정적으로 수행함으로써 배터리의 내구수명을 증대할 뿐만 아니라 그 충전효율을 높일 수 있는 차량용 배터리 쿨링장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 의한 차량용 배터리 쿨링장치는, 작동유체가 순환하는 순환경로 상에 증발기, 응축기, 압축기가 설치된 냉동사이클; 및 상기 냉동사이클의 증발기에서 생성된 냉기의 적어도 일부를 축냉하고, 그 축냉된 냉기에 의해 배터리를 쿨링하는 배터리 쿨링유닛;을 가진다.
