The present invention relates to runway edge lights buried in an airport runway and, more specifically, relates to runway edge lights for an airport using energy-saving semiconductor light sources that meet various conditions required for the runway edge lights. To achieve such a technical solution, the present invention comprises: a light-emitting diode (LED) light source for visible light; and a light source for infrared light using a vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) chip package where single VCSEL unit light sources are arranged and packaged. The present invention may provide runway edge lights using energy-saving semiconductor light sources that meet various conditions required for the runway edge lights.

    본 발명은 공항 활주로에 매입되는 유도등에 관한 것으로, 보다 자세하게는 공항 활주로 유도등에 요구되는 다양한 요건을 만족시키는 절전형 반도체 광원 이용 공항 활주로 유도등에 관한 것이다. 이상과 같은 기술적 과제를 달성하기 위하여, 본 발명은, 공항 활주로용 유도등에 있어서, 가시광선용 LED 광원; 싱글 VCSEL 단위 광원들을 배치하여 패키지화한 VCSEL 칩 패키지를 사용하는 적외선용 광원을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명을 이용하면, 공항 활주로 유도등에 요구되는 다양한 요건을 만족시키는 절전형 반도체 광원 이용 공항 활주로 유도등을 제공하는 것이 가능해진다.
