According to one embodiment of the present invention, a control system of a hybrid vehicle comprises: an engine of which operation is stopped when a vehicle is stopped; a motor assisting power of the vehicle and supplying the power through a first battery; a traffic information receiver receiving real-time traffic information; and a processor controlling a power assisting amount of the motor or whether to operate the engine based on the traffic information. The processor controls the power assisting amount of the motor and whether to operate the engine in accordance with a distance from a congested area to a traffic light and controls the power assisting amount of the motor in accordance with the length of a deceleration section.
본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 하이브리드 자동차의 제어시스템은 차량의 정차시 구동이 정지되는 엔진, 차량의 동력을 보조하며 제 1 배터리를 통해 전력이 공급되는 모터, 실시간 교통정보를 수신하는 교통정보 수신기 및 교통정보를 기초로 엔진의 구동여부 또는 모터의 동력보조량을 제어하는 프로세서를 포함하며, 프로세서는 정체구간에서 신호등까지의 거리에 따라 엔진의 구동여부 및 모터의 동력보조량을 제어하며, 감속구간의 길이에 따라 모터의 동력보조량을 제어한다.
