Provided is a handrail canvas capable of reducing the amount of contraction in a width direction during manufacturing of a moving handrail for a passenger conveyor (or a passenger conveyor handrail). The handrail canvas is provided with a base canvas (23) and a sliding canvas (24). The base canvas (23) is woven by a warp thread (25) and a weft thread (26) being used. The sliding canvas (24) is provided on the base canvas (23). The sliding canvas (24) covers a part of a surface of the base canvas (23). The sliding canvas (24) is woven by a warp thread (27) and a weft thread (28) being used. The warp thread (27) is lower than the warp thread (25) in frictional characteristics. The warp thread (27) is more prone to wear than the warp thread (25). The weft thread (28) is lower than the warp thread (25) in thermal contraction rate.

    [과제] 승객 컨베이어의 이동 난간(혹은, 승객 컨베이어용 난간)을 제조할 때의 폭방향의 수축량을 저감할 수 있는 난간용 범포를 제공한다. [해결 수단] 난간용 범포는, 베이스 포(23)와 슬라이딩 포(24)를 구비한다. 베이스 포(23)는, 날실(25) 및 씨실(26)을 이용하여 짜여진다. 슬라이딩 포(24)는, 베이스 포(23)에 마련된다. 슬라이딩 포(24)는, 베이스 포(23)의 표면의 일부를 덮는다. 또, 슬라이딩 포(24)는, 날실(27)과 씨실(28)을 이용하여 짜여진다. 날실(27)은, 날실(25)보다 낮은 마찰 특성을 가진다. 또, 날실(27)은, 날실(25)보다 마모하기 쉽다. 씨실(28)은, 날실(25)보다 낮은 열수축률을 가진다.
