The present invention relates to a cooling water control system and method for an arctic vessel and an arctic vessel having the control system, which prevent damage to a seawater suction pump as seawater is sucked only by filtering ice particles contained in the seawater through multi-stage filtering, and enables the smooth supply of seawater for cooling required for a vessel even under cryogenic environment by using the seawater stored in a ballast water tank as cooling water even in a state of emergency, such as the impossible operation of an ice sea chest and a lower sea chest. The cooling water control system comprises: an ice sea chest which cuts off ice particles and sucks seawater; a cooler which performs cooling using the sucked seawater; a lower sea chest which discharges the seawater passing through the cooler; a main seawater circulation line; a first seawater pump which sucks the seawater through the ice sea chest; a ballast water tank; a ballast water sea chest which sends the seawater to the inside of the ballast water tank; a second seawater pump which sucks the seawater through the ballast water sea chest; and a ballast water circulation line.

    본 발명은 극지용 선박의 냉각수 제어시스템, 제어방법 및 그 제어시스템을 구비하는 극지용 선박에 관한 것으로, 다단의 필터링을 통해서 해수에 포함된 아이스버그(Iceberg, Ice Particle)를 걸러내어 해수(海水)만을 흡입하므로 해수 흡입 펌프 장비의 손상을 사전에 방지하고, 아이스 씨체스트와 하부 씨체스트의 작동 불능과 같은 비상사태 발생시에도 워터 밸러스트 탱크에 저장된 해수를 냉각수로 사용할 수 있으므로, 선박에 필요한 냉각용 해수를 극저온 환경에서도 원활하게 공급하고 제어할 수 있다.
