The present invention relates to a video recording apparatus for a vehicle. The video recording apparatus for a vehicle comprises: a vehicle parking determining part which determines whether a vehicle is parked or not by considering one or more from the existence of a smart key around the vehicle and the operation of a vehicle power source; an impact sensing part which senses the impact applied to the vehicle and determines whether the sensed impact exceeds a set impact critical value; a video output part which outputs the surrounding video of the vehicle; and a video storage part which stores the outputted surrounding video of the vehicle when the impact applied to the vehicle exceeds the impact critical value.

    본 발명은 차량 주변의 스마트키 존재 여부 및 차량 전원의 동작 여부 중 적어도 어느 하나를 고려하여 차량의 주차 여부를 판단하는 차량주차여부판단부, 상기 차량에 가해지는 충격을 감지하여 설정된 충격 임계값을 초과하는지 여부를 판단하는 충격감지부, 상기 차량의 주변 영상을 출력하는 영상출력부 및 상기 차량에 가해지는 충격이 상기 충격 임계값을 초과할 때 상기 출력된 차량의 주변 영상을 저장하는 영상저장부를 포함하는 차량용 영상 저장 장치에 관한 것이다.
