The present invention relates to a small overlap sensing system for controlling an airbag. The present invention comprises: a first step of sensing a data value in each front collision sensor installed on both left and right sides in case of a collision; a second step of receiving the data value acquired from the front collision sensor; and a third step of determining whether an airbag is deployed after distinguishing a level to be applied by comparing a threshold value. According to the present invention, a collision occurred in a diagonal direction is recognized by an airbag control unit at fast time to prevent airbag deployment from being delayed.
본 발명은 스몰오버랩 센싱 시스템에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 충돌 발생시 좌우 양쪽에 설치되는 정면충돌센서 각각에서 데이터 값을 센싱하는 제1단계와, 정면충돌센서로부터 획득한 데이터 값을 수신하는 제2단계와, 임계값을 비교하여 적용 레벨을 판별한 다음 에어백 전개 여부를 판단하는 제3단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명은 사선 방향으로 발생되는 충돌을 빠른 시점에 에어백 컨트롤 유닛이 인지하여 에어백 지연 전개를 방지할 수 있다.
