The present invention relates to an automatic control device for a vehicle air conditioner according to one embodiment of the present invention includes: an image acquisition unit acquiring and storing images with a license plate and an emblem of a vehicle driving in the front side of a user′s vehicle with a camera inside the user′s vehicle; an image processing unit analyzing the images of the license plate and the emblem of the vehicle driving in the front side of the user′s vehicle provided by the image acquiring unit based on image processing technology; a vehicle determining unit determining a vehicle type, a manufacturer, and a fuel type of the vehicle driving in the front side of the user′s vehicle in accordance with the image analysis result provided by the image processing unit; and a control unit controlling the air conditioner inside the vehicle based on the determination result of the vehicle type and the fuel type of the vehicle driving in the front side of the user′s vehicle provided by the vehicle determining unit.

    본 발명의 하나의 실시예에 따른 차량 공조기의 자동 제어 장치는 차량 내 카메라를 통해 전방 차량의 번호판과 앰블럼에 대한 이미지를 획득하여 저장하는 이미지 획득부, 이미지 획득부로부터 제공되는 전방 차량의 번호판과 앰블럼에 대한 이미지에 대하여 이미지 프로세싱 기술을 적용하여 이미지를 분석하는 이미지 처리부, 이미지 처리부로부터 제공되는 이미지 분석 결과에 따라 전방 차량의 종류, 제조사, 그리고 연료 종류를 판별하는 차량 판별부, 그리고 차량 판별부로부터 제공되는 전방 차량의 종류 및 전방 차량의 연료 종류 판별 결과에 기초하여 차량 내 공조기를 제어하는 제어부를 포함한다.
