According to the present invention, a roof type air conditioning apparatus (1000) for vehicles, comprising: a case (100) with an open top to be installed on a roof of a vehicle, wherein an inlet (101) allows outside air to flow in a traveling direction of the vehicle; a condenser (200) provided inside the case (100) to exchange heat with the outside air; a fan shroud (300) provided above the condenser (200) inside the case (100) to forcibly blow the outside air to the top; a cover (400) joined to the top of the case (100), wherein an insertion hole (401) is provided on the top; and a discharge grill (500) inserted into the insertion hole (401), wherein an interference prevention part (510) extended from a space between the circumference of the fan shroud (300) and the inner side of the cover (400) to prevent interference between the circumference of the fan shroud (300) and the inner side of the cover (400).
