The present invention relates to a stern duct for a ship. The duct includes a body combined with a ship; a duct wing part combined with the body, and changing a flow direction of a fluid flowing into a propelling part for propelling a ship; a first eddy making part formed in the duct wing part to make a first eddy rotating in a first rotational direction from the fluid passing through the wing part; and a second eddy making part formed in the duct wing part to make a second eddy rotating in the first rotational direction from the fluid passing through the wing part. The second eddy making part is formed in the duct wing part to be separated from the first eddy making part so that a first eddy can be generated on a location spaced from a second eddy to offset the first eddy and the second eddy. According to the present invention, as the first and second eddies are offset, a tip vortex cavitation phenomenon, caused by a pressure difference between front and rear parts of the duct wing part, is prevented, and therefore, the lifespan of the propelling part and the duct wing part are improved.
