본 발명에 따른 자동차용 충돌 에너지 흡수 부품(1)은, 천판부(7a)와 종벽부(7b)를 갖는 해트 단면 부재를 이용하여 형성된 통 형상 부재(3)와, 천판부(7a)와 종벽부(7b)의 외면에 있어서의 천판부(7a)와 종벽부(7b)를 연결하는 코너부(7c)를 포함하는 부분에, 천판부(7a) 외면 및 종벽부(7b) 외면 및 코너부(7c) 외면과 0.2㎜ 이상 3㎜ 이하의 간극(11)을 두고 설치되고, 통 형상 부재(3)보다 강도가 낮은 재질로 이루어지는 도막 형성 부재(5)와, 간극(11)에 형성된 전착 도료에 의한 도막(13)을 갖는다.
