본 발명은 운전자의 생체정보 검출 장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로, 차량의 시트에 복수의 PVDF(Polyvinylidene fluoride) 센서와 압력센서(Force Sensing Register, FSR)를 상호 매칭시켜 장착하고, 각 압력센서로부터의 감지신호에 기초하여 특정 PVDF 센서를 선택하며, 상기 선택된 PVDF 센서에 의해 측정된 심탄도 신호에 기초하여 운전자의 생체정보를 검출함으로써, 열선과 통풍관이 설치된 시트에서도 운전자의 생체정보를 정확도 높게 검출할 수 있는 운전자의 생체정보 검출 장치 및 그 방법을 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위하여, 본 발명은 운전자의 생체정보 검출 장치에 있어서, 차량의 시트에 장착되어 운전자의 심탄도를 측정하는 제1 센서; 차량의 시트에 장착되어 운전자의 착석에 따른 압력값을 측정하는 제2 센서; 및 상기 제2 센서에 의해 측정된 압력값과 상기 제1 센서에 의해 측정된 심탄도 신호에 기초하여 운전자의 생체정보를 검출하는 제어부를 포함한다.

    The present invention relates to an apparatus for detecting biometric information of a driver and a method thereof, which are able to mount a plurality of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) sensors and pressure sensors (force sensing register, FSR) on a seat of a vehicle by matching them mutually, to select a specific PVDF sensor based on a detection signal from each pressure sensor, to detect the driver′s biometric information based on a ballistocardiogram signal measured by the selected PVDF sensor, and to detect the biometric information of the driver even on a seat with a heat wire and a ventilation tube installed with high accuracy. To this end, according to the present invention, the apparatus for detecting the biometric information of the driver comprises: a first sensor which is mounted on the seat of the vehicle to measure the driver′s ballistocardiogram; a second sensor mounted on the seat of the vehicle to measure a pressure value in accordance with the driver in the seat; and a control unit which detects the biometric information of the driver based on the pressure value measured by the second sensor and the ballistocardiogram signal measured by the first sensor.
